The Kyoto University Gender Equality Promotion Center is dedicated to improving the equal opportunity working and learning environment at Kyoto University, and provides services to support female researchers and students as they establish themselves in the competitive academic world. Services include professional temporary nursery care for infants on preschool waiting lists and for sick children, financial support for the hiring of research assistants, and advisement services. The center also organizes workshops and symposia, and publishes regular newsletters.
