On 16 March, Kyoto University hosted a ceremony to honor the FY2021 winners of the President's Award, which recognizes students who have contributed to the institution's goal of excellence through achievements in scholarship, extracurricular activities, or public service.
The FY2021 honorees were selected from a pool of 24 nominees and comprised of five individuals and one group, the former winning in the scholarship category and the group in the extracurricular activity category.
At the ceremony, abbreviated due to the pandemic as in the previous year, President Nagahiro Minato presented each awardee with a certificate and prize before sharing his thoughts on the 2021-2022 selection. The students then discussed their achievements with the President in an amicable atmosphere until the meeting ended on a high note.
