On 25 October, the Graduate School of Medicine received a visit from a seven-member delegation representing five Chinese medical institutions. Among the visitors were Professor Zhou Xiao Feng of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital (CJFH), and Professor Ji Zhi Gang of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), while their hosts at the KyotoU graduate school included Dean Kazuhiro Iwai and the University Hospital's Vice-Director Hiroshi Date.
CJFH concluded in 2011 an Agreement of Academic Cooperation with both the KyotoU Graduate School/Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital, forming partnerships that have involved exchange of physicians and organization of joint symposia, and have remained active to this day.
The 25 October delegation included researchers from Inner Mongolian hospitals seeking partnerships in the medical field. An animated discussion ensued, touching on possible collaboration between these institutions and KyotoU.
