2018 JSPS Ikushi Prize goes to student Yuta Kawamura, others (6 February 2019)

On 6 February, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences (JSPS) announced the recipients of its 2018 Ikushi Prize, including Yuta Kawamura, a KyotoU student detailed below.

The award ceremony took place Friday 8 March 2019 at the Japan Academy (Nippon Gakushi-in) in Tokyo.

Promotion and prevention factor of altruistic behavior: the effect of reputational concern

The JSPS Ikushi Prize, established in 2010 and now in its ninth year, annually recognizes outstanding doctoral students who are expected to lead the development of Japanese academic research, so as to enhance their motivation for research and support their career development.

Kawamura is among this year's 18 awardees, selected from 155 nominees by a nine-member committee following a preliminary screening by the JSPS Research Center for Science Systems.
