Kyoto University is accepting donations through the Kyoto University Fund (KUF) to help finance its education, research, and public service activities. In addition to the General Purpose Fund, dedicated to supporting efforts related to student assistance, research promotion, and public service, KUF operates a broad range of Special Purpose Funds, through which donors can contribute to specific programs, departments, or activities.
Among these special-purpose funds, the newly established Promotion of Interdisciplinary Research and Education Fund is focused on supporting the activities of the Kyoto University Center for the Promotion of Interdisciplinary Education and Research (C-PiER). Donations will assist C-PiER with its efforts to provide researchers with opportunities for healthy competition, support interdisciplinary research and educational "Units" that may result from such opportunities, and bolster the University's overall academic excellence.
