RISH invites applications for collaborative research projects utilizing MU and Equatorial Atmosphere Radars

As a Joint Usage/Research Center, Kyoto University's Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH) is promoting national and international research collaboration in related fields by offering access to its large-scale equipment and facilities, and to various databases of relevance to the study of the humanosphere.

Currently, RISH is accepting applications for collaborative research projects that make use of its middle and upper atmosphere radar (MU Radar), located in Koka, Shiga Prefecture, and the Equatorial Atmosphere Radar (EAR) in West Sumatra, Indonesia.

  • Collaborative research based on utilization of the Shigaraki MU Observatory and Equatorial Atmosphere Observatory
  • Collaborative research based on utilization of observation data obtained using the MU Rader and EAR

1 December 2015 through 31 May 2016
