Kyoto University is consolidating and expanding its network of former students, researchers, and academic staff through its Alumni Associations. Including former students living in Japan and abroad, these Alumni Associations are active in some 100 locations.
The University promotes networking opportunities among their members, and so Alumni Associations play a key role in bringing together people who shared part of their personal experience and affection for their alma mater.
Initially spurring from faculties or graduate schools, these associations encourage bonds among former students in and outside of Japan, and with the University. Organized as independent and geographically distributed associations, they promote exchanges, friendship and cooperation not only among their respective members, but also among the associations as a whole, contributing to the overall development of the University.
