Applications for places at the Women's Dormitory are accepted as per the guidelines below. The women's dormitory has one barrier-free room. If you wish to apply for this room, please inform the administrative staff (details below) at the time of application.

Application guidelines

Notes:

  1. Current residents who are newly enrolling in a KyotoU program, such as advancing from a Faculty to a Graduate School, are required to reapply.
  2. With priority given to those with financial difficulties, government-sponsored students are  considered ineligible.
  3. AY 2026 is the academic year from April 2026 to March 2027.

Required of all international applicants

  1. Application Form for Residence in the Kyoto University Women's Dormitory
  2. A copy of the applicant's residence card (A4 size)

The required document(s) must be mailed to the administrative office  below along with the applicable Form(s) (1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 11, or 12), also contained in the Application Form.
