1. Does Kyoto University offer any short-term programs, such as summer programs or internships?
The Kyoto University Amgen Scholars Program, launched in 2015, offers eight weeks of summer research experience. There are also short-term study opportunities offered by individual faculties, graduate schools, institutes, and centers. Those wishing to receive research guidance from specific faculty members are encouraged to contact them about such opportunities.
There are not many short-term programs that are open to international students, but those interested are advised to look for one by searching the websites of faculties, graduate schools, institutes, or centers relevant to their fields of study.
Please note, however, that Kyoto University does not offer any intensive Japanese language programs.
