Applications for the Kyoto University Women's Dormitory for the year beginning April 2019 will be accepted as scheduled below.
Note: Approximately 20% of rooms will be allocated to international students.
Schedule
- Announcement of the application guidelines: late December
- Application period:
- Current students: late December 2018 – early January 2019
- New students: late February 2019 – early March 2019
- Announcement of successful applicants:
- Current students: late January 2019 – early February 2019
- New students: mid-to-late March 2019
- Moving into the dormitory: from 1 April 2019
Note: The above schedule is subject to slight changes.
Overview of the women’s dormitory
- Four-storied reinforced concrete building
- 65 rooms
- 64 single rooms (approx 12 m 2 ) without bathrooms
- 1 barrier-free single room (approx 19 m 2 ) with bathroom
- Room furnishings provided: Desk, chair, bookshelf, bed, closet, and air-conditioning
- Shared facilities: meeting room, study room, living and dining room, kitchen, shower room, bath, toilet, washing machine and dryer, and bicycle parking
