On 17 January 2018, the 11th Yukawa-Kimura Prize award ceremony took place in the Panasonic Auditorium of Yukawa Hall, Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP). The honoree was Professor Hiroshi Suzuki of the Kyushu University Graduate School of Science.

After receiving a certificate, medal, and cash prize from Dr Taichi Kugo, director of the Yukawa Memorial Foundation, Professor Suzuki delivered a commemorative lecture entitled "Gradient Flow and Energy-Momentum Tensor -- Symmetricity and Universality in Quantum Field Theory".

The Yukawa-Kimura Prize was established in 2007 by the Yukawa Memorial Foundation (a public-interest cooperation since April 2012) with a donation from Ms Hiroko Kimura, widow of Professor Toshiei Kimura of Hiroshima University’s Research Institute for Theoretical Physics (RITP).

The Prize honors outstanding achievements in areas where Professor Kimura made significant pioneering contributions, including gravitational physics, spatiotemporal theory, field theory, and fundamental theoretical physics. A YITP committee selects the awardees.
