Then, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with representatives of the ten partnering universities and Kyoto City Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa.

Following the ceremony, a reception took place, starting with a toast and remarks from Kiyokazu Washida, president of Kyoto City University of Arts. The reception was attended by more than 100 people from the partner universities, the Diet, and the business world.
