Kyoto University International Service Office (KUISO)

The Kyoto University International Service Office (KUISO)  provides the following services for international researchers and students at Kyoto University:

  • Managing and maintaining the Kyoto University International Houses
  • Providing support to international researchers and students applying for Certificates of Eligibility for resident status
  • Providing information about housing for international researchers and students
  • Providing support in relation to applications such as those for part-time work permits

Education Center for Japanese Language and Culture

The Education Center for Japanese Language and Culture serves the educational, research and advising needs of Kyoto University's international community, including students and researchers from abroad as well as Japanese students planning to study overseas.

International Affairs Division

The International Affairs Division supports Kyoto University's international research-focused activities such as academic exchanges with overseas higher education and research institutions, sending faculty and administrative staff abroad, hosting international researchers, and organizing international symposia.

International Student Mobility Division

The International Student Mobility Division provides assistance with various aspects of student life, working in cooperation with organizations related to international relations both within and outside the University. The Division aims to provide support so that visiting international students can fully devote themselves to their study and research. In addition, the Division promotes studies overseas by Kyoto University students and supports student involvement in local community activities.
