Kyoto University launched the "On-site Laboratory" initiative in September 2018 as part of its strategy under the education ministry's Designated National University (DNU) program. The initiative aims to promote the establishment of laboratories by the University's academic departments and centers in collaboration with overseas partners, each to be hosted by either or both of the participating institutions with local management.
Among the numerous laboratories that have resulted from this program is the Kyoto University On-site Laboratory at Mahidol University for Educational and Research Collaboration in Environmental Studies, founded in 2019 by the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) in partnership with the host institution's Faculty of Engineering.
In the upcoming workshop, the laboratory's fifth, researchers from the two universities will report on the research and education activities undertaken and the experiences gained over the years in the fields of environmental engineering, agriculture, public health, and chemical engineering. There will also be a special session on a newly launched KyotoU-Mahidol research project, as mentioned in the program linked to this page.
The organizers are looking forward to your participation.
