The Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University, regularly holds an international symposium inviting stem cell researchers and students from around the world to advance the field of iPS cell research and collaboration.
The next symposium, themed "iPSCs Changing the Future of Science and Medicine", will be held Wednesday–Friday 27–29 November 2019 and feature Dr Tasuku Honjo, a 2018 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, and Dr Gordon Keller, researcher at the McEwen Stem Cell Institute of the University Health Network (UHN), as keynote speakers. The topics to be addressed in the three-day conference range from basic research on pluripotency and genome editing to clinical applications of stem cells.
