The KIZUNA event for March is a Japanese tea ceremony workshop, "The pleasure of a simple bowl of tea", taught by Mr Michael Drzmisek Sozui, a Swiss-born Urasenke tea master. The venue will be his own well-known tearoom, Kanjoan, which has been featured on television and in guidebooks.
Kanjoan, a "hut in which to be at ease and free of concerns", is an exquisite three-tatami room in a renovated, Japanese-style house located in northwest Kyoto.
Comprised of a short lecture and a practice session, the event will offer an invaluable opportunity to experience the spirit and art of Japanese tea-making under the guidance of an English-speaking teacher.
Enjoy a bowl of green tea with seasonal sweets while experiencing and discussing Japanese culture and history. KIZUNA is looking forward to your participation.
