On 6 July, six representatives from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, including Dean Rungpetch Sakulbumrungsil, visited Kyoto University to discuss a research and education partnership with the Graduate Schools and Faculties of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicine.
Arriving at the KyotoU Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the visitors met with Dean Kazuhisa Nakayama of the Graduate School and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dean Shinji Uemoto of the Graduate School and Faculty of Medicine. Also in attendance were Graduate School of Medicine Professors Tadashi Isa and Akifumi Takaori, who chairs the Faculty of Medicine's international exchange committee. The KyotoU representatives briefed the Chulalongkorn officials on the activities and international partnerships of their respective departments, before the two sides began to explore possible areas of collaboration.
Afterward, the delegation from Thailand moved to the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences to visit laboratories where former Chulalongkorn students are now studying. The visitors attentively listened to the students and their academic advisors as they discussed their research and other topics.
