As part of its Program for Special Exchange Students, the Graduate School of Economics International Graduate Course for East Asia Sustainable Economic Development Studies (East Asia Course) enrolled eight students from two partner institutions -- Thammasat University (Faculty of Economics and Pridi Banomyong International College), Thailand, and Gadjah Mada University (Faculty of Economics and Business), Indonesia -- from 5 December 2016 to 8 February 2017.
Together with regular East Asia Course students, participants attended lectures by faculty of the host school as well as by Project Professors from the Social Sciences and Humanities Unit for the Top Global Course. They also joined a weeklong Kyoto Graduate Seminar (KGS) in December, attending over ten lectures, taking part in group work sessions, and visiting Panasonic Eco Technology Center (PETEC) and other facilities, gaining a deeper understanding of economic development and sustainability.
