Tasuku Honjo named 2016 Thomson Reuters Citation Laureate (21 September 2016)

On 21 September, Thomson Reuters announced that Visiting Professor Tasuku Honjo is among the 24 recipients of its 2016 Citation Laureates.

Thomson Reuters Citation Laureates are researchers who are considered, on the basis of their citation records, likely to receive the Nobel Prize for their outstanding achievements.

Professor Honjo is one of the three Japanese scientists to be included in this year's list.

I am extremely honored to be awarded this distinction, and would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this happen. What pleases me the most, however, is the fact that we have been able to help save lives by contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment.
