Three Kyoto University doctoral students have been selected to receive the 2015 Ikushi Prize from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences (JSPS).
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place Wednesday 2 March 2016 at The Japan Academy (Nippon Gakushi-in) in Tokyo.

The JSPS Ikushi Prize, established in 2010, annually recognizes outstanding doctoral students that are highly expected to contribute to the development of academic achievements in Japan, so as to enhance their motivation for their research, and to support them in building successful career as a researcher.
The selection committee comprised of university presidents and other experts selected its 6th Prize awardees, including three KU students, after careful examination.
