On 23 September, a ceremony was held in Hanoi, Vietnam to mark the 10th anniversary of the summer courses organized by Kyoto University's Graduate School of Management (GSM-KU) in partnership with the local University of Transport and Communications (UTC).
The ceremony, which was organized by UTC, began with remarks by Rector Tran Dac Su who expressed appreciation for the 10 years of partnership between his institution and Kyoto University. This was followed by a greeting from Professor Kiyoshi Kobayashi, Director of Kyoto University's Center for Research in Business Administration (CRBA). The two officials reaffirmed their universities' joint commitment to the bilateral partnership, not only in education but also in research.
Present, in addition to university officials, was a representative of the Embassy of Japan who praised the KU-UTC partnership, saying that it would qualify as a "quality infrastructure investment" as defined by the Japanese Government.
