Two Kyoto University researchers have been selected to receive the 12th Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Prize this year.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place Wednesday 24 February 2015 at The Japan Academy (Nippon Gakushi-in) in Tokyo.

The JSPS Prize aims at recognizing the future potential of up-and-coming researchers who are expected to lead the advancement of their fields, seeking to honor them early in their careers.

The awardees undergo a strict review by the JSPS Prize selection committee, which is comprised of world-leading researchers, such as Dr Ryoji Noyori, a Nobel Prize laureate and Director-General of Center for Research and Development Strategy of Japan Science and Technology Agency.
