China-Japan-Korea (CJK) SERVE Initiative

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Peking University, Ewha Womans University in Korea, and Kyoto University jointly hold a summer program, where students learn about natural disasters and recovery. Students participate in workshops and other activities to learn about policymaking and proposal writing, in cooperation with local residents and governments.

In 2017, Kyoto University hosted the inaugural CJK SERVE in association with the University Social Responsibility Network ( USR-Network ). The University hosted students from partner universities to engage in activities focused on lessons learned from the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Kobe in 1995.
